This is an entry to the international competition launched by Nicosia’s Town Planning Department for the design of Old GSP stadium area, adjacent to the new National Theatre. The brief included an underground car park for 1,650 cars, a large green area and a number of shops and cafes for park visitors. A prominent feature of the scheme submitted by architects Thanos N. Stasinopoulos and Kostas Koutsoftidis is the large green roof over public space and commercial facilities.
