Blue Lagoon Village
Architects: Delfino Eleni Kyriakakis Takis

Location: Kos, Greece
The concept was inspired by the morphology and the variety of the intense terrain.
The approach to the complex is facilitated via an oblong building, denoting the route to the village, developed between a steep slope and a heavy masonry with a wooden roof as a reminder of the linear shipyards of earlier times.
The core of the village, is situated in a natural amphitheatrically pit, and incorporates traditional elements of the Dodecanese in a modern structure.
In a natural levee with intense slopes which enclose the cavity of the village, wings of rooms were built in the form of a defense “wall” around the village, facing the sea.
Underground buildings complement functional aspects of the complex.
